That Thing In The Desert 26 Recap – Rancho De La Luna
During the noise and chaos of NAMM week, we headed the opposite direction off to Joshua Tree.
That Thing In The Desert is our yearly gathering of musicians, builders, engineers, and friends at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree. We left the NAMM convention floor, and its associated inevitable sickness, behind and invited a hundred or so of our closest friends for a week long open-house at hosted by David Catching and Chunk.
At Rancho, the focus is simple: plug in and see what happens. Artists rotate through the room, trading instruments, experimenting with textures, and pushing the Valhalla amplifiers into new territory.
This video captures a glimpse of that atmosphere.
A studio, a handful of musicians, and a desert full of possibility.

We are beyond excited to have hosted everyone this year for such a spectacular event. I suppose it’s time to start planning for next year – right? See y’all soon!
